There are two companies that operate ferry services from Port Kissamos. These include ANEN Lines, an offshoot of the ANEK Shipping Company line. This line offers frequent trips from Port Kissamos to nearby Crete destinations.

The Myrtidiotissa sails five times a week. For safety reasons, when using the car ferry services, it is important to follow instructions given by stewards.


ANEN Lines


ANEN Lines operates ferries on the following routes: Kissamos to Antikithira (2 hours); Kissamos to Kithira (4 hours); and Kissamos to Githeio (7 hours).

ANEN Lines fleet includes the Anemos, a recent addition to the fleet which has a capacity for 170 cars, 15 trucks and up to 700 passengers. There are 53 private cabins onboard as well as seating areas for those without cabins. Dining facilities include a self-service restaurant as well as an à la carte restaurant.

Myrtidiotissa Car Ferry


Myrtidiotissa operates ferries on the following routes: Kissamos to Antikithira (2 hours); Kissamos to Kithira (4 hours); Kissamos to Githeio (7 hours); and Kissamos to Kalamata (10 hours).

The Mirtidiotissa is a fairly old ferry that was built in the mid-1970s. It has a capacity for 1,350 passengers, with 239 beds available. It can also carry up to 230 vehicles, allowing passengers to transport their cars on these routes throughout Greece. Facilities onboard are sparce, with decks for relaxing and indoor areas, where food and drinks are available.
